Reflection

This project reinforced my understanding of human-centered design and its role in solving real-world problems. Working with woodshop, laser cutting, 3D printing, coding, and Arduino allowed me to explore how craftsmanship, digital fabrication, and interactive technology intersect to create functional designs. As an interaction design student, I see design as a bridge between technology and human experience. This experience highlighted the importance of iterative design, where materials, user needs, and fabrication methods influence each other. Integrating Arduino and coding expanded my perspective on interactive systems, demonstrating how physical and digital elements can seamlessly work together. Moving forward, I aim to incorporate emerging technologies like AR and AI to enhance user interactions, creating solutions that are both functional and emotionally engaging.
